Another prospect shooting for membership in 2011

Chris Fairbanks has been running this little terror around the streets of Staffordshire for a few years now, getting gradually quicker each year. Believe it or not the engine is still only a baby 1641, yet Chris has posted low 16 second quarter mile times consistently, thanks to big gulps of nitrous being fed into the mouse motor. Based around a magnesium type 3 case, the engine now features:

Forged counterweighted 69mm crank
12. 5 lb fly wheel
Engle 110 cam with straight cut cam gears
Stock followers
H.D. conrods
Forged 1641 pistons and barrels
Empi 40 heads (40 mm inlet and 35.5 exhaust) with a mild polish & port job
Dellorto drla 40 carbs
Wizzards of nos 4 fogger nitrous system
Merged 1 5/8" header
009 dizy with pertronix ignitor II and a flamethrower 2 coil
and uprated oil pump with external filter and cooler

This is all goes through a Kennedy 1700 lbs pressure plate
and kush lock clutch, mated to a stock 1300 gear box.

Lets see those times tumble Chris!
