With a very mixed outlook for the weather it seemed like Bug Jam might be a wash out (again) but it actually turned out to be not too bad in the end, with some spells of very nice weather. Strong cross and head winds were in force all weekend, but the racing in between showers was awesome.
Four club members headed to the track - Steve Turnbull, Kev Donlon, Mike Riley and John Walklett. Mike managed to make a good few runs before a gearbox mishap (a fairly minor problem to do with the linkage, now fixed) prevented any more fun, but he netted a best time of 17.1 seconds. Kev Donlon ran a 15.0 second quarter mile making him the quickest Bus in attendance. John Walklett ran a 12.85 second quarter mile making him the quickest street bug of the day.
The show & shine held on the Sunday was well supported with some very nice cars in attendance. Car of the show for me was the Biege small window cal-looker running on Enkei's backed up by a Weber IDA fuelled motor. Another top bug was a late model cal looker with flat black trim and headlight rims - a nice proper cal looker.
Enjoy the pics & Video's...
