ET Board update....

A few changes on here this month, a couple of cars have been sold on, so we've lost our previous #1 holder Kev Donlon's time, plus Paul Dipple's Fastback has been sold, and Mike Riley's Samba as well. Kev is now building a hot street Ford Anglia which looks set to be a fantastic car,but I'm sure it won't be too long before he'c back behind the wheel of a Hot VW and back here on the board. Paul's Fastback has gone, but he's held on to the Engine and Gearbox which are set to be fitted up to his Notchback, so again, Paul will be back on the board sometime soon. Mike's a serial bus buyer and already has an even hotter motor built for his next project, but the arrival of child numero uno has meant a little less time to play on projects and more time changing nappies - enjoy Mike!

Cal Look Drag Day 2012

Well thats another Drag Day over - what a weekend!!! It started off for some of the Rennwagen crew on Friday night heading down to Santa Pod on what was a very cold evening and starting the event set up. Mark, Richie, Chris & Sian, Peach and Jamie all worked through the night til around 4 am packing up the goody bags and finally hit the hay. Saturday was bone crushingly cold all day long, but there were still a few great photo opp's with some of the cars in attendance, and the afternoons show & shine was well represented with some great cars from the OFF, DAS, DKR, JG54 and Rennwagen VW clubs. On Sun day, the Drag Day itself, everyone was amazed to see the cold and cloudy weather replaced with brilliant sunshine and a cloudless sky. Cue the racing! Steve Milward was chasing the best RT for the weekend and narrowly missed out to Darren CLagget and ultimately destroyed his clutch to finish his weekends racing, while Jamie continued to struggle with his car - an AWOL lash cap preventing any strip action for him at all. Richie Moss snuck in a blistering 12 second dead pass, and John Parton got his Oval down to a new pb of 13.1 - well done John! John Walklett had brought his beautiful 63 ragtop down and ran a number of 12 second passes, while Paul Beardmore had his turbo bug out shaking down some new carb and chassis settings, culminating in a 12.3 pass from him. John Saxton was another casualty of the day, winning fail of the day award (A Bears Motorsport voucher)commiserations John.... Anyway, I'll let some of the pictures do the talking.....
